My once all time agreeable eater, has suddenly decided he will eat nothing I serve for lunch and dinner. In an effort to both mask the meal and appease the toddler we’ve offered ketchup as a side to every meal. That then becomes an all out demand for “DDDDDDIP!!!”, which is carefully licked from the edges off all real food that is on the plate. Eventually, if we sit long enough he’ll start eating the other food, but it was quite the drama before this final act ensues.
On the flip side, Myles can’t get enough. He eats his plate, some of Rhys’ and still cries for more. Seriously, where is it going. I guess I should be grateful he is eating more than just bread. Hopefully this phase with Rhys will pass and he will go back to his salad/halibut/risotto eating ways. Fortunately for me, most of Rhys’ problematic phases, only last a few days before we have them worked out. (Knock on wood) Then we can have peaceful dinner, void of all the complaining, and regain one of the best times of the day when we are all together.
