We went to the farmer’s market this weekend and I have to say, we shopped in a record amount of time. Nothing like the rain to light a fire under your butt. It was a lot less crowded too, as you can imagine. We had both kids with us. Myles was completely protected. He had a nice shelter, but of course every time I went to secure the rain cover he got all upset about putting it down, in true Myles fashion. Rhys was on my back in the Ergo Carrier, which btw is a great carrier. We used an umbrella to cover us, and of course Rhys was content as can be. In any case we got thorough shopping in about 30 minutes. This same market 2 weeks ago took us closer to 2 hours to navigate. Of course that day it was bright and sunny and crowded and there was a lot more perusing going on. And we ran into people we know (like you do everywhere you go in SF, weird right, this is supposed to be a big city) and had to do some chatting. There usually is so much to enjoy there with all the specialty shops in the Ferry Plaza building and the market is a great way to get fresh organic produce at a much better price. We think we might make this a weekly thing, going to the Farmer’s market, rain or shine!
